bleeding stopped , day #3 functions returning! Thank you Lord!!

I get a little spurt of red blood with every pee, but it has diminished slightly.
day 1 no blood,
day 2 bright red in the morning , now after 4pm a spurt.
day 3 no blood, very little urine flow and still no bowel movement
day #3 late morning functions returning, yippeeee

varies so very much. had 3 biopsies, but never any bleeding after 2nd day at the most. If it is bright red (fresh blood), you may want to touch bases with your doctor. It should resolve on its own.

I had no bleeding with urine, just ejaculate (and that was ugly). I did have rectal bleeding on and off for a few days.

I had no bowel issues, but then have been on a stool softener for years due to colo-rectal surgery, so missing even a day doesn't happen for me.

Don't hesitate to call your doctor with any questions.

Berdoo, sorry to hear about the constipation...that's a pain in the you-know-what. By any chance are you taking prescription pain meds? If so, these are notorious for causing constipation. Take stool softeners to help when you do "go."

I only took one vicoden day of procedure. I did 3 metamucil glasses(m, no, ni), lots of water, stool softener,
still not? just a few marbels at noon? end of day 2
the web says cigpro can constipate, kills bowel bacteria.
replenish with yogert, milk, etc

I wouldn't worry about the blood in the urine, for now. As for the constipation, are you drinking plenty of liquids and moving around?? Inactivity can cause constipation. Try taking some short walks. You could also try some Miralax once a day for a week to see if that helps. If you are still having blood & constipation after a week, I would give the uro. a call.

I have read the side effects of cigpro and constipation is one of them. replace intestinal with yogert,
milk and others. I did the treadmill this morning walk, 10 minutes and bled like a sieve.
yikes, I read that some docs give 5 days of cigpro but ask you to discontinue if no fever? I only have 2 pills to go so I'll stick out the 6 I guess.
I did have some marbles tonight so yippeeee, small miricles.

well now I can't pee and I drank lots of water, I may go to er in the morning! if I make it to morning. I hate trips to er at night, usually no one there.more blood then 1st day, we'll see about day 3? I called the URO, noone there.

thats not good, you may not want to wait till morning, if t hat bladder gets full and cant be relieved, you will be in a world of pain you may not know about. they will have to cath you in the ER typically, sometimes they can't do it as well as your Uro's can. Good luck. Been there, done that more than once.

Berdoo, yes, cipro can constipate. My husband had to take it for Lyme's Disease...10 day course of treatment. He was told he eat yogurt with probiotics every day to keep his system regular...and it worked.

Now, as to your not being able to pee...that is a big problem and needs to be dealt with ASAP. If you haven't already done so, get thee to the doctor or hospital right away. Sounds like your doctor doesn't have an answering service to leave messages. If you can't reach your urologist, go the ER and let them take care of you.

Hope things works out OK and that you're feeling better today.

The good news, the bleeding has stopped, stools slowly returning, cigpro effect,
urine normal, still sore groin and back side from the reamer.
