Thanks all and have a couple questions: (1) can nodules cause dry cough? (2) can the body have trouble controlling temperature due to the cancer?
I guess the ever standard viral infection. The fever was going up and up; he was not looking so good; breathing a little labored, been more fatigued. The on-call oncologist told him to go to ER - first time for him. I called back to find out which one they wanted us at - we have 5 ERs within 15 minutes. He was a tad rude - I guess to get 2nd call - but finally told us which hospital our Dr. had privileges with. The staff and Dr great at ER. I gave him a mask and told them he could not be with other ER patients in waiting room. They kept us separate and were very attentive. Bet the on-call not happy when they called him too.
.
X-rays showed nodules (duh), but no respiratory issues. Pulse was a concern. I had taken his Blood tests results from last week, so comparatively no major issues. Sent home and supposed to call his Dr. on Tuesday. Take him back if can't control fever and his cough become productive. It really doesn't appear a respiratory infection type issue.
Again, thanks for concern and support. Very much appreciated. I guess since that visit where the Dr. said 2013 was it and he also said all of a sudden his body would just start to give out; and than with all the people here I've come to care about
having so many issues ..... just a bit worrisome. Hoping the rest of you doing all right. Haven't had time to check.
