Hi, everyone. My husband finished IMRT the end of October. On Tuesday, we were delighted to get the first report: PSA came in at <.01
We were delighted with this result and figure we have achieved an important goal. Happy dance! He has another checkup in 6 months.
I still have a question for all of you. Dr. Lee took him off Lupron (husband took one six-month shot). I was a bit surprised at that because the doc had sorta suggested we might be in for another shot some months ago. I asked about this, but Dr. Lee said my husband's testosterone level/PSA result indicated he didn't need another shot at this time. My husband's testosterone level came in at 38 ng/dL
Does this sound right to everyone? Is that an expected post-treatment testosterone level? Low? High?
BRIEF BACKGROUND: husband is 69 years old, pre-treatment PSA of 5.2, Gleason 7 (3+4), normal DRE, IMRT/HT
