my apologies to the Prostate Cancer Community.

I am sorry guys and gals. I went on a rant. I.tore.a member a new butt hole. It wasn't okay. My methods were wrong. My motives were pureed. We each decide our destiny. We each live with the consequences. I honestly care not what treatment people use. I hope it works for them. I just get so tired of hearing someone say my doctors say it wont work for me.
My doctor said I would be dead 6 years ago. I fired him on the spot.

Nobody knows what treatment will work and what treatment will not. The experts even admit that. It is a choice. A PERSONAL CHOICE!!!!

I have no problem with a personal choice. My Doctor (president of A.S.C.O. and possibly the best Prostate research physician in the country advised me to have my testicles removed.......no sir not my boys.... that was my choice. I do not need a doctor to validate my choice. It may be the wrong choice and it may cost me months....maybe years....but it was my choice and I stand behind it. I don't need to have a frigging weekly debate.

I am tired of it. David made a choice and we must live with it. It is his choice but David needs to just say straight up "my choice not yours " and be done with it.

I have been a member here for 5 years. I know the whole story. I know and others here do as well. This constant argument is why I seldom post.

I was busy trying to figure out how to quote and ask a question when all of that took place.

My question was a valid one, as it shows my second guess everything our doctors have told us, after reading the post.

We would love to be off of hormone therapy. We were only married 4 years when we encountered this beast.

When I keep reading over and over how these doctors say HT will not help, it just makes me second guess everything we are doing.

The flip side is that due to HT or a miracle, my husband's tumor load has shrunk substantially and later allowed for RT, which he previously did not qualify for. Positive enlarged lymph nodes have since resolved. He can now urinate better and without the previous pain. I truly want to believe that the HT is responsible for his huge improvement. We view his QOL as superior now, as to what it was before any treatment. Even with the constant fatigue.

I understand the frustration because I feel it. I always end up second guessing our oncologist and that makes me nuts, considering how much confidence I have had in them.

What did I ask? No more threads about this.
