I am sitting here awaiting my first pamidronate....or zometa..... I know its not a big deal but the infusion room is intimidating. The Doctor I fired just walked by. He remembers me.... LOL. I look way better than he does. I am a rock star in this place. My story is framed and hangs on the wall. They know my face I wish I knew thiers

There was suppose to be more but I got interrupted by the pharmacy guys bringing my dope. They all wanted me to tell them about provenge. I am the only one in my area to get it. The rain continues to fall three drops at a time. Life is strange. I hate this place. Eyes that look right through you. Catch their eye and they turn away. Blinders for the heart. So many lose the battle. It must be hard for them.

Zometa is easy to handle - I'm been on it every month since Aug 2011.

You are the only one to ever get Provenge from their? After all you did I would have expected others.

Thhank you sephie. This is easy. It is the room that is hard. So sterile so void of emotion. They just want me to be done so they can go home. I don't blame them.

I had my third session this week. Still handling it fine, though my hair is getting sparser. Which is fine as saves on haircuts

While I was getting my treatment, wife and daughter went (surprise!) shopping and Gigi got two new outfits. Today we went over and spent the day with Gigi, who happily carried one of her new outfits around the better part of the day.

Life is good!

When you get the transfusion - bring a Ipod or something to listen to music from!

Sorry, wasn't done - living 1963 - our new infusion room has dozens of people and not much room for family. They combined two large infusion rooms. Our last one was so much more personal and all the staff knew us - made it more palatable. Still not fun and we always were close to the last ones there.

You 2 guys are an inspiration. I took my friend to the infusion suite a couple times. He is doing great 4 years later.

Our infusion room(s) - 4 chairs each really does not have space family. I do go to the same nurse and use the same chair for each visit.

Wife and daughter stopped up for a bit last time, was nice as they got to meet my nurse.

They did equip each chair with a TV. All in all really not all that bad.

never having had an infusion before of any type, how long do you have to sit there, and how long does the infusion take? I am assuming it's done through some kind of slow drip IV? Hope at least the chairs are comfortable while you wait. Any tv or music to listen to?
