I never thought this thread would see the light of day on the first page. BillyMac I didn't mean to throw you. Bronson wrote it that way and I like it. Terryy I love the like buttons.
David....huge compliment bro. I never thought myself a wrter I simply put my feelings to paper or to text as in this case.

What a great thread. It's wonderful when we can all come together for a common good. Sure beats the bickering.
Todd, I bet the time goes by quickly when you have people here corresponding to you in real time. Even if you have to use that Iphone to right with. Get yourself a IPad!

Just a note to let you know that your words pull at my heartstrings. We can forget the grammar, but you are talented! You can be a poet or song writer; I've found few that can express their emotions so eloquently. I'm glad that you have good friends like Bud, Sonny, and others that will support you to the utmost.
I'm sorry, but I did "chuckle" when I read about you laying in a ditch at DaNang during TET--heck of a way for a young man to discover the "real world"--lol. I'm from a different generation, but I find solace in Joan Baez and Judy Collins songs/ballads...Rock on Todd!

Hi Bill. You think your losing it..... I didn't think I wrote that ditch thing and I haven't drank lately but I couldn't remember. My uncle was an M.P. in Korea. My son is being deployed for a second time to the middle east riding shotgun for fuel convoys. Son #2 is aboard the U.S.S. Miami fast attack submarine and son in law is air force attached to a c-17 squadron. Joint base Lewis McChord. I wish my kids could just stay home. Thank you to you and all the vets for doing what you do. Todd

I am very pleased with the reaction and response to the poem / song I wrote for Todd using his words from his postings - they moved me and am glad they moved you too.
But then, Todd is a rock star.

This is such a cool thread . . . I try to tell my friends that Cancer Folk are very self actualized beings (Thx to Maslow ) and they don't get it. There are some really talented and amazing people in this forum from rock stars to artists, poets and singers. They are the glue in cases like this thread that hold us all together and why I come back day after day.

It has been a sucky 36 hours. I got almost every side effect on the list. Fever chills joint pain nausea weekness malaise. I am starting to feel better though. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend.

I feel much better and thank you for asking. Friday and Saturday I was ill. Yesterday my son brought 3 granddaughters up. That was nice. Now its back to work today. Yay. Insert sarcasm. I hope all is well with you. Todd
