Hi all,today I started to use AndroGel 1.62% .

I used AndroGel 1.0,and I tolerated just fine.The contradiction and adverse reactions seen more

With the 1.62 than 1.0.I have been in remission for almost eight years; if  let say after using this medication my psa start go get  greater than my usual 0.001 do than mean I have recurance?

I f any one have any input or have use the 1.62% I will appreciate your help.thanks. confused

It has been said that taking T meds will speed up the process of recurrence.

If you don't have any PC cells sitting around waiting to come back and bite you then the T Meds won't make any difference.

My doctor will not let me use T hormone but after my six years of zero reading.

You have only two years out,I am surprise that your doctor let you use T hormones.  yeah

As I hinted to earlier - you either have more cancer cells sitting around waiting to rear their ugly head or you don't.

Many doctors say that T meds will assist the cells to speak to you sooner... Noting that you were going to hear from them sooner or later.

I waited three years and had all >.01 PSA tests...

I had blood work done ever three months for the first 15 months with no bad results. <knocks on wood>

My URO will not prescribe any T until I am 5 years out with undetectable PSA. He is also reluctant to even do a  T count with my normal blood tests.
