We feel for you having such a diagnosis and pathology, you have responded very well as to psa results....some others have not responded as well and that includes me (.06 lowest). I had lower psa, lower Gleason, but more volume 12/12 and 80-95% in every core. The good news is still kicking and posting and rocking in this world, year 11 coming up real soon. So I hope you get a long type remission and remember to look at everything possible for control on this dragon and maybe switching drugs-sequencing can help keep your psa level low and help earlier mets situations from showing up.

I think the ADT3 kicked that in the blank real good in your case. Just keep an eye on psa's and if you can get them more often somehow, than every 3 months, do it. I got mine sometimes even more than once a month....so knew exactly when I hit nadir low and incremental increases which lead to me switching drugs and gettting new decent results, more than one time too. Sounds like you are doing the Dr. Leibowitz drug protocol, you may have to consider resuming ADT at some point again and/or if later failing on that, find your next sequence of possible drug options for control.

Welcome. I'm another 40 something guy. And yes, looks like when you attack the beast, you get a good response. That's huge. I also think being a G7 vs. 9 means a lot.

I'm an old curmudgeon at the great grandfather stage and I hate to see a young man like you having to fight this terrible disease for life. There is a wealth of information available on this forum and members will "chime in" if they think they can be of assistance.
Everyone so far is saying that you are doing very well and I agree..I did notice that you and your doctor are watching your psa on a monthly basis and it is progressing ever so slightly..
If I may ask, what are your plans for the future? Something will probably have to be done but I have no idea what or when...All the best to you!

I've read quite abit about PCa in the last 3 years; largely motivated by self interest and from an academic perspective. I'm a member of many other PCa forums and converse regularly with some on this site.

I'm currently during an 'off phase', taking various supplements such as pomegranate, resvertarol, curcumin, quercetin, vit. d3, metformin, low dose statin and the aforementioned avodart to prolong this period.

Bill is correct in that I track my PSA on a mostly monthly basis to assess an early doubling trend coupled with velocity. At this stage it is too early to tell whether my upward trend is the start of anything more sinister as it is theoretically still undetectable. That said, if a trend is established, discounting radiation bounce, I will start ADT3 once I reach 2, possibly sooner if the velocity is significant and stay on this for a year once my PSA reaches undetectable again to limit damage to my leydig cells.
