Anyone else have Seminole vesticle invasion, and pressure around the rectum area? My concern with my elevated post op score is the Seminoles are directly in front of the colon, anyone else have this sensation, and or medical advise they can share from their doctor?

Resident of Highland, Indiana just outside of Chicago, IL.
July 2011 local PSA lab reading 6.41 (from 4.1 in 2009). Mayo Clinic PSA Sept. 2011 was 5.7.
Local urologist DRE revealed significant BPH, but no lumps.
PCa Dx Aug. 2011 at age of 61.
Biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma in 3 of 20 cores (one 5%, two 20%). T2C.
Gleason score 3+3=6.
CT of abdomen, bone scan both negative.
DaVinci prostatectomy 11/1/11 at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN), nerve sparing, age 62.
My surgeon was Dr. Matthew Tollefson, who I highly recommend.
Final pathology shows tumor confined to prostate.
5 lymph nodes, seminal vesicles, extraprostatic soft tissue all negative.
1.0 x 0.6 x 0.6 cm mass involving right posterior inferior,
right posterior apex & left mid posterior prostate.
Right posterior apex margin involved by tumor over a 0.2 cm length, doctor says this is insignificant.
Prostate 98.3 grams, tumor 2 grams. Prostate size 5.0 x 4.7 x 4.5 cm.
Catheter out in 7 days. No incontinence, occasional minor dripping.
Post-op exams 2/13/12, 9/10/12, PSA <0.1.
Semi-firm erections now happening 14 months post-op & slowly getting a bit stronger.

Bilateral seminal vesicle invasion after surgery here.

That was over 6 years ago. I have had good results and never had a PSA rise. As far as where are the vesicles ~ more against the bladder than the rectum. I'd be willing to bet your pain eases with time. The rectum is against the prostate and when all the tissue gets removed it's possible to feel what you are. My advice would be to take it easy, get good exercise and stay positive.

As you can see by my signature I had extensive Seminal invasion, for the first three months post op I experienced pain in the rectum area, but it passed. When was your surgery? It would help if you listed your stats in your signature. If you are  still concerend I would check with the Dr..

Not sure how to leave the bio/signature, pathology had most of the cancer in the Seminole area my surgery was feb 15 so I,m 6 weeks post op, my surgeon performed over 3200 robots, so I am hoping he got it all. Margins were clear, no lymph involment, bone clear, perineal ? I guess that's the one stone still unturned. Gleason 43=7 thank you for your responds God continue to bless you and yous jim

Jerry's, no other follow up with treatment? I,d say considering your Gleason, and invasion of Seminoles , the Lords hand hand is on you. With being in the zero club and all. Good for you brother! Cheers jim
