Dutch Prince

Perhaps a weird post, but tomorrow (30th April) Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands will abdicate and her son will become King Willem-Alexander.

I am just taking a moment at this time to remember Prince Claus, who was Beatrix's husband and Willem- Alxander's father. Prince Claus had prostate cancer and in 1998 had his prostate removed and then he had 6 weeks of radiotherapy as well, so he clearly didn't get a good post-op pathology report. He also suffered side effects from the radiotherapy.
Claus's health had not been good before the PCa and was not good after treatment (he had a kidney removed). He died in 2002 from pneumonia.

Not forgotten.

Okay so the prince is now the King.
Clearly, as a 46 year-old man whose father had PCa, he needs to be testing.
Let's hope he is and is okay.
