sorry I haven't posted here much....haven't felt that great lately and stayed away from the computer.

I been on Zytiga/Pred for a month now(almost a month) and my PSA went from a 381 to a 114 in 3 and a half weeks on it.  This is great I think.  But have to say the side effects have been rough.....lots of fatigue, weakness and nausea.  Threw up for 2 days straight this past weekend.  The nausea pills work sometimes and sometimes not.

Also I have these nausea attacks just after my 4 week shot of Xgeva....so wondering if that has something to do with it.  Ive lost about 8 pounds in a week but Ive got plenty to spare. Overall I feel glad of the quick results but sure wish I felt a little better.  Also looking at Radium 223 down the road on a free trial.   Chris

Thanks for the update Chris, lots of folks out here thinking about you. Glad to hear the great results this early in - and feel bad for what you're having to go through. Easy for me to say I know, but stay focused and hang in there - lots of good vibes coming your way.

Thanks yooper....I can handle the side effects so far as long as its working like it is. I'd celebrate with an ice cold beer but i'd probably ralph it up... turn

sorry you've been having a bad time. Hopefully it will get better.

That's a great drop on the PSA.

Here's hoping it keeps going down.

Thanks for the update--down is good. Hope that shortly you can eat a "bloody" steak and drink a cold beer and enjoy them. I'll drink my 1 weekly beer for you tomorrow at the Legion; yeah, I have to drive!! We are pulling for you.

That's some really great numbers!

As for the nausea, Xgeva is known to cause nausea. And both Zytiga and Xgeva cause fatigue, so you're getting a double whammy there.

Hope the side effects subside and your numbers keep coming down!

Hi Chris, that indeed is a great result for only barely a month on Zytiga. Nausea can make one feel soooo miserable, important to resolve this issue, perhaps talk to your doctor about different nausea medication, there are many brands out there. There are some natural remedies, as well (ginger).

Hi Chris.

JNF read my mind and had a red wine for you and the resveratrol for us. Alas we have to also use supplications instead of the 50 glasses of red wine.

Let's hope both the PSA metrics and the adverse side effects continue to come down.

Always encouraging to see posts where the remedy is kind of working.
