5 Years today

It was May 15 2008 I got the call from my urologist with the results of my biopsy. Will never forget the punch in the gut that news was. I assumed the worst, was sure I would be dead in no time. But I'm still standing, and my latest PSA test in January showed I'm still in remission.

I cannot express how much being a part of this HW forum has helped me. Bless you, everyone.

Those are great numbers for 5 years out. Hope I can report the same in 4 years.

The day we got the DX is a day we shall always remember. Mine was 5-8-12.

Today is only my 4-month anniversary of the PSA test that led to the biopsy that led to the bone scan ...

So I have very recent memory of the punch to the guy you reference and your successes are an inspiration to us all.

I must admit I now know a hell of a lot more about the beast than I did 4 months ago, but also have a much better appreciation for what's important and what is not.

Thanks Florida Bill. At first the time seems to go slowly, but after a few more PSA tests, it begins to pass quickly. Definitely a day we will all remember.

T1c, I know what you mean. When we get the news about the C-word, we learn in a hurry. and this is the best place to learn about this beast - from those who know first hand.
