Glad that i found this forum, really amazing people
and amazing stories here. Even though great support
from family and friends i really appreciate oppinions and thoughts
from people in the same situation as mine, going to the"summercabine"by the lake with the guys for som fishing and bbq..
and sauna of course accompanied by a few cool beers.

Thanks carl and hope you have a great weekend yourself......fishing and barbecue sounds great.....might do some barbecueing myself this weekend.

Hey Carlster, sounds like a great weekend to me! We've got a place on a lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and get up there quite a bit - yup, fishing and grilling out, watching the sunset from the dock with a cold one - all GFMPH!

And the sauna, I dated a Finnish gal during high school and would join her and her Dad for sauna's; the best ones were in the winter - sit in there for a half hour and then dive into the snow bank!

Yooper- I can relate, being a Michigan guy most all my life....U.P. is Gods Country they say. I like the story with the Finnish gal, are your sure her Dad was always around??? I did the sauna thingy near Michigan Tech area in about 1970, guy had a really cool sauna and dock out to some lake, beer added for more College credits and got fried and dove in to chill out.....very memorable stuff, just didn't have any Finnish gals. Of course could contemplate that concept for hours and hours (lol).....ya.....

I wish we were here under different circumstances. I just got an invite from my brother and sister in law, Raili in Suomi for a cookout on June 8th at their cottage but have to pass, it would have been GFMPH, (hyva eturauhasen terveys). Where do you live in Finland? Anywhere close to Suomi? I think you will recieve exceptional advice on this forum. I, too, wish to be here for years and years to come. Even at where we are, we are fortunate that there are so many new treatments on the horizon. "koskaan anna periksi". voi hyvin.

members finnish skills..i live in a small town
called Mikkeli(southeast) Finland. Lammi isn't
too far away..maybe 1,5h drive or so.
