Anybody know the best implant!  I talked to my doc’s secretary whose husband has the rigid Malabo!  She says that she would recommend that for everyone!   She said the inflatable ones are problematic!

Best of luck. From what I have read and heard from some of the guys that most are not using the rigid implants any more. The problem was that you penis remains still all the time. The patiend has to learn ways to hide it.

But Zildjian,

With an inflatable implant you can size up your opportunities on the beach and adjust accordingly.

We do have a few guys here who have implants and are fairly happy with them. I seem to recall at least one mention of something called a "Coloplast Titan".

Have you tried injections yet? Most guys do that before they start talking about implants. On the other hand, I can see how implants might be more convenient on the beach. All you need to do is pop into the surf, give the pump a squeeze or two and you would be ready for the ladies. With injections you would need to plan ahead...

I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2004 after
developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
The Titan completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife. On September 8, 2012 we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary.
My understanding is that the Malleable (Rigid) Implant is used on men who do not have the manual dexterity to operate the Inflatable Implant (e.g., severely arthritic hands, etc.).

Wow.. You pricks sure know a lot about Pricks!...   Great info... and yes I miss the bond I have with my thing and my lady! My Uro said that is too soon to do the injections!  I’m going back to demand them!  I wanted to get this fixed before the HT kicks in... I probably won’t have the drive or desire to get it done!   Any sugge tions on a surgeon?

How long has it been. Some Dr start the injections at the 6 wk visit after surgery.

Zildjean,

I think I remember reading that you are doing temporary HT to go with adjuvant radiation because of a worrisome post-op pathology. I've been there. It sucks. It's hard not to get mad at the world. When I was where you are I almost got into a fistfight with a neighbor over a parking dispute.

My advice would be not to demand the injections. Instead, explain to your doctor why this is a good time to start them. You have a good reason to want to start them now. Help you doctor understand it.

I pushed the time table for my first trimix injection for exactly the same reason as you describe; I was worried that after the HT took hold I might lack the resolve to go through with it.

Peter & Cajun It’s been 12 weeks since my surgery! My Uro is kind of a goof... He wanted me to wait for a biopsy and dismissed my urgency!  He claims to be direct but he is truly insensitive and curt. (Small Town)  I am finding a Uro in Jacksonville FL~ where I’m getting my RT & HT!
