I couldn't find my previous post and know some of your other "retirees" wanted to know the outcome.
To summarize... initially was given a prescription from UR for 5 mg Cialis one time a day. Local pharmacy said they could only authorize 6 pills per month. Contacted Express scripts and they told me normal authorization was only pills per month, but, an "authorized override" could be granted, but they needed more of a "medical description" from my surgeon.
After about 3 weeks of miscommunication between Express scripts and my doctor's office (no problem with my doctor's staff) Express scripts finally said the prescription was approved. From the date of approval until I had the prescription it took almost 3 full weeks! Unacceptable.
Long story short, I am now getting the full prescription, brand name, from Express scripts at a 90 day supply per refill at my copay of $43 with automatic refills for 3 years if needed.
