PSA 2300 Gleason 9 - Many treatments failed. Hope?

Hello everyone,
Is there still hope with PSA of 2300 Gleason score 9 and done with hormone treatment, taxotere, zytiga and now on Xtandi......is there anyone who has exhausted all the above treatments and still going strong? This all happened in last one year.
Pls help...

My Oncologist has said more than once "There are many more options coming out of the pipeline nowadays so dont give up hope". I havent been through what you have. Its my hope you find the right treatment.

My husband had a PSA of 14.4 9/12 s/p Prostatectomy years ago. He then had trial of Xandi, zytiga (neither of which worked for him) and a trial at Sloan for antibody targeted chemotherapy. He responded for a couple of months to the trial but his PSA is again shooting up. ie 570 as of last week. He is now facing a choice of Taxotere vs. Radium 233. We had been discouraged from using Provenge prior to the targeted chemo trial because he has extensive bone metastases and had minor pain (nor requiring narcotics). If he goes for the radium, he will have to wait a month between it being ordered and when it arrives.

I thought he could start on the Taxotere and then start the Radium(Alpharadin) when it arrived in a month. He was told that this could not be done. I am not sure what we will do. We were also told that treatment with the radium does not lead to decreased PSA and am unsure of the implications.

I have read a little about some research they are doing with cancer stem cells where they are grown and then tested against different treatments. I am not sure what stage this is in.
Any thoughts about other options would be very helpful. It is a bit frightening to be at this stage. Thank you in advance for any thoughts.

Go for the Provenge treatment. I did and the number of HW brothers are increasing since I participated in a study in March of 2011. As stated in an earlier post, Xtandi and Provenge seem to be a great combo and have helped a number of men. Sure hope it helps on your home front. Best wishes.
