37 Days to GFMPH NY - Last Call for Special T-shirts- Are you coming to GFMPH

GFMPH New York is only 37 days away from starting. Guests will start arriving on Thursday, September 26th. Although some of us anxious over-achievers plan to be there by Monday the 23rd.

It is time to start asking for a list of those planning to attend. Every GFMPH has been memorialized with a custom printed t-shirt for the occasion. This is something that I have done for each gathering and I take great delight in doing it.

But this year will be a little different. For this one event I am changing the design of the shirt. This year’s attire is being printed for all to wear while attending Sherry’s and my wedding ceremony. So I need you folks to start chiming in by telling us you plan to attend and I need shirt sizes for yourself and the significant others that will be coming with you.

The shirt will be mandatory attire for the wedding. It will be tasteful and will also remove any planning on your part of packing anything for the ceremony. I know that weddings always bring along that worry of “What am I going to wear?” So I am taking that off your lists.

We plan to leave Florida on the 16th heading to NY. We have a small camping caravan heading up and will spend a few days getting started with the partying while on the way. Sherry and I, Cajun Jeff and Pat, Mr and Ms Worrywort and Bayou Jackal and Teresa plan on having a great time getting there.

With that being said, I need a list of attendees no later than September 1st. These shirts will take a little longer to print.

So please cooperate and give me the info. I really don’t want you to be in the position of having to come to the wedding NAKED since the wearing of the shirt is really important to us.

And remember, GFMPH is open to anyone of you that have come to know us through HW and would like to spend a few days with those that you have been talking to through the internet. It has been said many times and it remains true, GFMPH is truly a life changing event. We celebrate LIVING LIFE with this crazy disease. It is by no means a depressing or pity party event. We who have attended have made friends that will last our lifetimes.

Thanks for your cooperation and I look forward to seeing all of you there.

YIKES!!!! It's only 8 weeks away!!!!

Two Mediums for Mr. and Mrs. Worried Guy. (The hosts of the event.)

Do they come in straight jacket style? We'll be going crazy as time draws near.
We have no idea how many people are coming. We hope many!!!!

This event is open to all of you. The only price of admission is current or former ownership of a rotten prostate or be the caregiver of someone so lucky.

hi Sonny - I will need a 2XL and Steve would like a 2XLT ( tall if possible).
-off topic - does Sherry have a favourite decor colour scheme -

- instead of throwing rice at the end of the event do we throw walnuts? ( very off topic - blame the antihystemines...)

Mike and Jess, Bronson and Steve: it will be soooo cool to meet you guys!

Gonna try to keep bumping this thread up so that folks will see it and hopefully decide to join.

Guys and gals, this will be our (mine and John's) first GFMPH. From what I've heard from a few veterans, not only memories are made here...lifetime friendships are formed and celebrated at every event. Come one, come all...Mr. and Mrs. Worried Guy: you may need a bigger boat for this monster bash!

We hold it at my place, outside of Rochester NY. There is plenty of room for people to park RVs, wander around, enjoy campfires, eat... It's like sleepaway camp for adults. Lots of fun.

I will write an invite shortly. This will be the 5th one here! (First wedding.) :-)

Mike, optional pants would be your call. But I warn you that the shirts aren't that long.

Bronson, I guess the throwing of "walnuts" instead of rice may be appropriate. But I would ask that they be "crushed" first.

Nick, I see that you show some interest in coming and Worriedguy has answered your question about location. Sure hope you can make it, it will be a time to remember for sure.

Now I know that there are many more or you fine HW folks that are attending, so chime in with the commitments. Lets keep this thing rolling, we are off to a good start.

I almost hate to say this, but I INTEND TO BE THERE. After the Cajun incident, where I also intended to be, I figure my adds are better at making this one.

Got a pre-visit with Jeff and Barb last month. It will be a great time in September, I can tell you that.

We are steady running our RV to get my driving skills ready to drive 1500 miles one way. Put us down for XL for me and Mama Pat will have a L.

Wow...what a great gift this event will be. Ms. WW, didn't see your message but Mr. Sephie and I are counting the days! We're driving up on Thursday and though we'll be a bit bleary-eyed, looking forward to that first meeting with our extended family here at HW.

My wife Sue and I will definitely be there. I'll be leaving New Orleans by myself in my Corvette on the morning of the 23rd, taking lots of scenic back roads. I plan to take my time driving and arrive in Rochester either Thursday evening or Friday morning. Sue will fly up on Friday and I'll pick her up at the airport and we'll join the rest of you guys. (Gonns need an address at some point for my GPS) Definitely looking forward to it.

XL for me and Sue says if we're talking about men's sizes then she needs medium, if it's unisex, then she needs small.

It is unfortunate for me that I can not attend this GFMPH gathering and it will be the first I will miss since I joined HW two years ago. My wife's business budgeting schedule has never allowed her to travel from September to Mid October, but this year her deadlines got moved up two weeks and for the first time she can take the first week off in October. We are leaving on Sept. 28th to drive to Texas to spend the week with family and attend our grandson's  birthday for the very first time. We couldn't even take the time off for his birth 5 years ago. We will be there in spirit with all of you however.

We are already making plans to be in Central Florida for GFMPH Floridian Style in March which falls over my birthday. Also we have 14 couples on the first ever GFMPH cruise in December with 7 newbies to GFMPH. I bet we will see those 7 newbies at most future gatherings too.
