An apology

I sincerely apologize if I have recently or ever offended anyone on this forum. I recognize my tendency to occasionally use inflammatory words in my posts. This is due to anger. My half-brother died of prostate cancer a few years ago after a botched surgery which left him wearing a catheter for the remaining miserable 15 years of his life. My sister was diagnosed with a D.C.I.S. and got talked into a double mastectomy.

I'm gambling that the same virulent form of the disease that took my brother will not also take me. I continue to watch my PSA fluctuations looking for the dreaded steady rise at which point I honestly don't know how I'll react. I say that I'll refuse treatment hoping for a few remaining years of QoL, but when the time comes I just don't know. All the men on this forum who have undergone treatment have my utmost respect and admiration because you are truly the courageous ones. I hope when my time comes I'll be treated with kindness and understanding.

Best of luck to you as you move forward, and my condolences for your considerable loss. On a forum like this, with such a personal, life changing topic as it's theme, I think many can get passionate and not write in a style they wished they had. To tell the truth, I don't remember you ever going over the top, but maybe I missed it. Of all the forums I've ever been in, I've found this one to be the most supportive and forgiving. We are all brothers in the same battle, and just like brothers, harsh words will be exchanged from time to time. It's all understanable, and all good.

I too do not recall any offenses. In fact, aren't you the guy that a new poster just thanked for giving her hope?

The demand for an apology I saw was regarding another poster who attacked a mod and made other inflammatory remarks in the heat of a discussion. With my testosterone now at 24, hard for me to relate to.

The attack was directed at Jim. So if he says he has no recollection, it was not you.
