Most of you that know a little about
me are aware that I place a high value on exercise as a means of PCa, and overall health. In fact if truth be known I'd have to admit I'm a bit addicted to that!
Anyway I always keep my eyes open for information on the whole topic of exercise and PCa, and saw an article in Dr. Geo's blog about a study published by the ASCO, by Kenfield, et al that was published in 2011 that caught my eye so I thought I'd put it out here. I did a search for "Kenfield" here on HW and saw that it has been covered before, so I guess let's just consider this a "bump" to bring it up again!
As an overview, the population and approach was to "evaluate physical activity in relation to overall and PCa mortality among 2,705 men in the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study diagnosed with nonmetastatic PCa observed from 1990 to 2008."
Their conclusion: "In men with PCa, physical activity was associated with lower overall mortality and PCa mortality."
