Mixer, you can regain some of the muscle but it takes a good bit of discipline. In January this year I could barely lift a ten pound weight. I went to the gym every day and used the machines on the lightest settings. I worked muscle groups rather than isolation. Keeps the time to a minimum and gives good results. Started off doing one set, 15 reps. After a month I moved to two sets, 15 reps. I also began to increase the weights the second month. Not a lot but enough to feel it. Third month three sets, 15 reps and more weight. Have been at this now for 11 months and while not lifting as heavy as my pre disease rate still pretty good.
The effects on mood, sleep, and appetite have been the best effects. By appetite I mean eating less. The HT makes me eat like there is no tomorrow. You will notice only a modest improvement in muscle tone but there will be some. Also got the weight down to 180 and holding. Would like to go a bit lower.
Good luck,
Don
