Hi Searchmode,
Lung mets from prostate cancer are not uncommon. After all, blood drainage from the prostate is pumped by the heart directly into the lungs. In a case of GS 9 that can be very possible. One important thing is that lung tissue does not seem a “fertile ground” for aggressive PCa growth. In simpler words, these mets although present in as many as 46% of patients do not have a lethal course and can me managed. Ironically, it is better for the patient that these mets are PCa and not colon or lung cancer. Potentially androgen deprivation can control this situation.
Wish you and your hubby the very best outcome,
RalphV
