Another well written, from the heart Todd - thanks again for sharing. I really need to get off the porch and make one of these get-togethers. . . .
Continued best to you Bro.

After this event, when I see these forum names I see living, breathing, laughing people! It's beyond what a few heart-felt words can express, and how wonderful it was to get to know all of you as real people. We're not just some forum's pencil-sketch signature summary of a disease history. We're people; even people that swim with stingrays!!
As always Todd, thanks for your blog updates.

Great post. Glad you had a great trip.
This will be like chapter 23 of your book, right. :)

My wife and I had dinner last evening with Big Mack and his wife for the first time. As we live in the same town in Florida, he had reached out to me after my diagnosis and had gotten together with me. Those hours at Starbucks were very improtant to me in putting to rest a number of concerns that I had been having.
Last night's dinner was great. It's amazing how two couples with a shared, unwanted connection, can speak
openly about
things having virtually met for the first time. It must be something like the gfmph gatherings. We hope to attend the March one in Florida.
It's a club you never wanted to belong to but since now your a member, this forum makes membership much more palatable.
Glad you had a good time at your gathering.

Thanks Jeff. It is hard to put into words sometimes what the heart feels. Especially when one has no heart...

Todd, I'm jumping up and down with excitement over the news that you and Mandy are planning to come to the September GFMPH gathering....man, have I got a huge hug and kiss to give you in person!!
Always love reading your blog!
Glad you're back home, safe and sound, and hopefully carrying a piece of every person you met on the GFMPH cruise in your heart!
Till we meet in September...

Todd,
This is awesome!
It was wonderful meeting you and Mandy and all of the other new folks!
I would be remiss if I failed to point out ONE error...
... You need to change your age to 50!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)

Todd,
I have been following your blog for several months. It's great! Learned about
it from Ted on DNDN IV. Since you had not written an entry since 11/14, I got worried and PMed Ted and asked if you were OK. He told me you were on vacation. Thanks for mentioning this site on your blog.

Peter,
When you read my signature, you will see that I have a problem with UHC denying Provenge for me. Any suggestions beyond waiting for my Dr to handle the appeal would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam
