So I got this tooth infection, had a root canal procedure and the infection is back. Dentist says the root is cracked and now it has to be pulled out. The oral surgeon just seems too eager to do the extraction but I will say he didn't pressure me to agree to do the tooth implant. He did give me the price sheet though - he's got a 50% off sale next year, do one tooth and get the second for half off.
I am sure I can blame this all on PC and the IMGT because this never happened to be before I had PC.
all I can think of is those hundreds of hours of bushing and flossing that have failed me...

I will blame cancer for my throbbing tooth as well. ;) Tomorrow I hope to have it yanked.

Well, as I have mentioned in another thread of mine, past radiation (neck/throat) is being blamed for all my teeth that have been crumbling part, and from being on long-term opiate pain killers.
Heading for the path of dentures, unfortunately. Rather do that at this point, then to continue losing one or two teeth at the time. Just waiting for my new paperwork to come in from the VA Medical care, hope to have it done early next year, if I can make it that long.
Good luck, Andrew, boy, do I hate tooth problems and seeing dentists.

David - my dental surgeon asked me twice about
where my radiation was done. He said what you're saying - it's radiation to the head and neck you have to worry about
.
So far I've seen three different dental specialists on this tooth and I am about
ready to yank the thing out myself.
After all, I got me a shop full of pliers, drills...

a bad tooth and a sadistic dentist were instrumental in my diagnosis.

I'll take your bad tooth if you'll go run on the treadmill at the cardiologist office for me in a couple of weeks.
I "credit" my PC for making me more aware of my own immorality. No more ignoring those infrequent chest pains

Steve - I've done that run, how about
I get a copy of my report, write your name on it and send it over to you. Then you have a molar extracted next Thursday? :)
I've had those chest pains before when I was 20 years younger. My case turned out to be work stress, bit of hypertension, too much Pepsi and not enough walking.
Hope the run gives you the data you need.
