16 months out

My husband just had his PSA done at 16 months after surgery and it came back as 0.0.

ED is getting better. My husband has been getting nocturnal erections for the past few months. Now he is starting to get them while he is awake but they do not last long (they help his confidence though). For those guys who have had a slow recovery from ED - do these fleeting erections start to last longer as time goes on? Perhaps they will be better if he takes a pill.

My husband uses trimix twice a week for rehab. In the past few weeks it has not been fully effective at the dose he has been using for the past few months (8 units of regular trimix). Has anyone had this happen?

Last question is about Cialis. My husband was given some samples of Cialis. He was told by his doctor's office that the rules that apply to Viagra and food also apply to Cialis and food - not to take within 2 hours of eating. Is this information correct? When I do a google search on this I read that Cialis may be taken without regard to food intake.

Congrats on the zero!

This might sounds like a silly question, but... How does your husband know he's getting nocturnal erections? I presume it is because he wakes up with an erection sometimes. Is there an other way?

My use is bimix stopped being effective suddenly awhile ago. Dr. Mulhall says it is because anxiety releases adrenaline which is an anti-erection chemical. (I don't feel anxious, but ok.) Sounds like your husband's nocturnal erections should be giving him confidence about his ED progress, not anxiety, so I can't see why my explanation would make sense for your husband. I increased my dosage a bit to restore erections, but they still don't last as long as they did originally.

Cialis can be taken with food. One thing to note: Viagra maximizes in the blood 1 hour after taking the pill. Cialis maximizes at 2 hours. So, plan accordingly based on the time he wants to try and get an erection. This is per Dr. Mulhall's book linked below.

That's great news on the zero. Here's hoping for many more.

Sometimes progress on ED is slow but sounds like there is progress. Hopefully the cialis will help keep things up.

And I've noted that that ebb and flow too. Sometimes I need the meds and sometimes I don't. So many variables play into the mix.

Your husband should enjoy his erections (nocturnal and otherwise) -- maybe he should compose a poem; or tie a yellow ribbon around the olde oak tree. Its the beginnings of something good!
