Your response PeterD was clever, tactically, but it effectively ended a discussion, that you just allowed. Non sequiter ? Most initial threads start with a thesis, then explain the rational of that thesis, expecting an antithesis, so as to further knowledge rather than restrict it. I ask for the thread to be reopened or to continue on this one. let the forum decide. The effect of your response,{cherry picking, so as to have it both ways} was willy nilly censorship on the thesis I proposed in the question, you did in fact, if not, arguably,in truth, answer. Let the forum respond to the issue I raised. This is not me against you or the forum. Lets let the forum partake , their views will be known by their replys or lack thereof. Break60 at least posited an antithesis and I actually agree with it. The silent tone of his post, to me, at least ,implied rolling eyes, frustration, with me and a stop stirring the pot attitude. Allowable, in a dialectic, without necessarily hindering progression. I like to think I am stirring the waters to prevent stagnation. This has been done thruout history and with good results for civilization, if not for the hand that stirs. I would ask responders, to not raise straw men in the discussion, cause that is how communication breaks down.
