PSA was 1.7 2 years ago, has risen to 3.79, but in the intern drops by half a point a couple of times. If you add the drops in the Velocity is different then if you just use start and finish. Have had 2 biospies both showed 1 positive 5% in different locations each time. Both Gleason 6, one in Right Medial Apex and second time in Right Lateral Mid. On AS right now, this is all confusing knowing you have some cancer in you?

Are you following the same routine for each PSA test?

Same lab, abstaining from sex for prior 72 hours, no long bike rides the day before, etc?

PSA velocity is not a very useful indicator before treatment - too many other things affect it. You can make it a better indicator of PC if you are taking Proscar or Avodart, which may also cause regression of your cancer if you are lucky. It might be wise to rule out prostatitis too, but that's a lot harder.

If they are finding PCa in different places I would go for brachytherapy to nail it.
