One year ago right now they were wheeling me into the recovery room after my app four hour surgery. As I recall the night before I was really considering skipping out on the appointment but thought it might be like the dentist office, where if you don't cancel more than 24 hours in advance they will bill you anyhow. Lol!! My only other surgery was a tonsillectomy many years earlier.
I thought I would have had something profound to say on this date, but oddly enought I don't. I'm fortunate that mine appears to have been cured by surgery and I have "few" lingering side effects a year later. I know from checking in here that many have a long struggle ahead of them and my prayers go out to them!
If there are any newbies out there reading this with surgery dates coming up, you will get through it, and with time will hopefully get back to "nearly" your old self with a bit of luck!

That bit about
considering skipping out made me smile. Its little more than a week after my loved one's rp. Apparently he checked in, then promptly walked back out of the office headed for the parking lot, still mulling things over up to the very last minute.
I'm glad to read about
your good news.

After we arrived at hospital and checked in that morning, they directed my wife to a waiting room, I tried to follow her until they stopped me and said your coming this way
