Myers visit. Where to stay on coast or???

Somewhat off topic, we are scheduled to see Doc Myers in early October. We are staying for a couple of nights at the Foxfield Inn as this coincides with our 29th anniversary. We'd then like to drive to the coast but are unsure of where it is nice (and quiet as opposed to Atlantic-City-ish) and if there are any pretty inns or B&Bs anyone can recommend. He sees the useless neuro tomorrow and his onc. has requested an appt. with another, well respected one. That could mean a three-month wait. But he is in fine spirits, laughs a lot and is doing too much yard work.)

I come down from CT. If your comming from another direction Front Royal or Harper Ferry would be out of the way. Although Harpers Ferry is a pretty cool town and worth a visit.
