its Interesting information.
Its still early days, but if these protein markers are good indicators then the speed of PSA change and Gleason score might not be the final arbiter in defining the type of Cancer Intervention. if, as the author suggests, the proteins are a better indicator, then having a higher Gleason score might not be sufficient reason for aggressive intervention; rather watchful weighting might become the norm for those without the proteins.
If I had known this information, I would have asked my lab to check for this protein in my biopsy specimen and I might have opted for a different intervention.
