I just want to let everyone here know how much I appreciate the posts and wisdom of this great group. I rarely comment, because I don't feel I am informed enough to share. My husband was diagnosed April 1, 2014 with PCa and has mets pretty much head to toe. Lupron/Casodex disappointingly only worked for about
3 months. His PSA has begun to rise again. On Wednesday he will begin Taxotere. Needless to say, my feelings are all over the place. He is feeling good right now, so I am worried that the chemo is going to change this, and not sure that falls into the "quality of life" category. I am also confused because the studies that showed Taxotere helped men live on average an extra 17 months longer was for those when hormone treatment hadn't already failed, if I have read this right. Anyhow, any advice or words of expectation would be appreciated. I can't help but feel we are about
to embark on the next step, and not sure we are ready....
