Break60, I guess my Uro is in the "aggressive" category.
Immediately after surgery, he told me that the cancer had broken the capsule, so would have to have RT. That without any PSA test. I did not disagree with him. If there was any risk that there could be cells floating within the pelvis, I wanted them hit. The downside of that was that after being almost dry post op and pre RT, I reverted to full incontinence and am awaiting an AUS op. Nonethless, no regrets over the RT treatment
My first post op (and pre RT) PSA was.03, 6 weeks later it was .07, so he immediately decided that I should undergo ADT. Again I didn't disagree, though in retrospect, I probably could have waited until the RT had been completed. The RT onco was not too happy about the ADT, because of course it masked any subsequent PSA test revealing the success or otherwise of the RT.
Have to say I am in tune with my Uro's aggressive outlook, even though it may have contributed to some longer term SE's. I know that approach is not for everyone, but works for me.
