If free psa ratio stays the same, is rising velocity a concern?

Hi all,

In 8 months my PSA has gone from 1.0 with 46% free PSA to 1.4 with 46.5% free PSA. Is this a cause for concern since the PSA is rising pretty fast? The free PSA seems very high while the ratio is almost exactly the same, so I am not exactly sure what to make of this, since these two information seems conflicting.

If you could put together a signature so we could see more details about your PC journey..Have you been diagnosed with PC?

PSA numbers tend to go up and down like a Yo-Yo so obsessing over them is a waste of time...

Without knowing any specifics my first guess is prostate infection or inflammation.

I would not be concerned with those numbers. Psa can vary up to 30% on a daily basis and above 25% free psa is a meaningless number. If psa continues to rise at a consistent rate it would be a concern.
