Some good news; some bad news - what now?

I was diagnosed with G9 PCa with two enlarged pelvic lymph nodes in July 2013; PSA 19.4 (on Avodart). Began Lupron and Casodex 8/13. IMRT (44 sessions, 79.2 Gy) 2/14 - 4/14. Had my latest blood work and scans this week. Good news: PSA is <.05; CT shows shrinkage of lymph nodes. Bone density scan is normal. Bad news: T is up to 43 (had been as low as 9) - asking Drs. about possible switch to Degarelix. Worse news: Bone scan (clear in 2013 except for spot in pelvis that Drs. discounted) shows two suspicious spots on 5th rib - posterior and anterior. Question: What now? SBRT to rib? Chemo? Other options? Hoping those of you with expertise and experience will weigh in so I can raise the right questions with my docs.

I would agree....If you still have have some room with your "total lifetime radiation dose" and I think you do, then picking off the 2 bone mets would be a good plan....Talk to your RO about it....

There are other drugs available other than Lupron that can be tried to suppress your "T" level lower than 43..If you want the most aggressive treatment possible, it will only happen if YOU insist on it..
