Hey guys and gals. I've been here lurking for a while. Had proton treatment for PC March 2006. after 8 years of dealing with side effects of ED pills, I decided to try Penile Injection. so....

Had My first injection 2 days ago. small dose. 10 units on a 100 units sryinge. i.e. .1ml Had a small reaction until the 1 hour mark, then solid 10 erection for 2 hours. Was sent home with two .05 units and two .10 units syringes.

I injected today with one of the .05. pretty much up and down for the past 2 hours. No manual stim, watching **** (wife not here for the next week).

2 questions. Concerning the "4 hour" limit, If I'm up and down... How do I know when the "limit" has been reached? The "down" level would be a 4 or 5 on a 10 scale.

With such a small Unit number, how should I increase dosage? 1, 2, 3 units? I'm thinking +2 to 7 units and then up to 10 again.

Like everyone here, I'm trying to stay out of the ER. Also, My Doc said to "call" at 4 hours and be at the ER the 5 hour mark???? Is this the norm?

These are all excellent questions to ask your doctor but here is my understanding.

If your erection comes and goes then you probably don't have to worry much with the four hour limit. When you have a full, hard erection very little blood can leave the penis and as a result the tissues aren't oxygenated very well. But if the erection backs off to a six or seven -- still there but not particularly hard -- then the blood is being allowed to leak out and is being replaced with new, oxygenated blood. After a few minutes of this you can set the four-hour clock back to zero. What you need to look out for is a full, hard, almost-painful erection that lasts for hours.

You might do your titration as a percentage, say 20 percent. If a given dose is insufficient try increasing it 20 percent. If you find 10 units not quite enough, try 12 (20 percent of 10 is 2). If you were shooting 30 then you would go up 6 units to 36. If you do less than 20 percent you run into zeno's paradox and you grow old looking for the right dose.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I should have added, Doppler Ultrasound showed 68%. 32% leakage. Probably the reason the Oral meds worked but not long enough for a Happy Ending. I'm sure part of the issue is "feeling" Mr. Happy shrinking causing a complete "mental let down". Strange thing the erection is....

I'll do the second 5 unit shot, just in case I missed the Sweet Spot. then bump up to 7 and then up to 10.

I'm sure my response will be different with Wife in the picture. She's very supportive. Very lucky me.

Carl – regarding staying out of the ER: My instructions are … for an erection lasting 2 hours -- take four 30mg tablets of “behind-the-counter” Sudafed (not the XL Sudafed). If it’s still up at 3 hours - call the doctor. And at 4 hours, I’m supposed to be IN the ER.

And these 2 hour, 3 hour, 4 hours marks only count for an erection that continuously stays at or above penetration hardness.
