Just wanted to check in. I've gone through 19 treatments at Dattoli and have nothing but good things to say about the facility, staff and fellow patients I've met there. I'm on a 30 day treatment plan using 4D IMRT everyday for 30 days which will be followed with seed implantation in January 2014. The staff are the best I've experienced with any doctor I've ever been too. While Dr. Dattoli has the marketing down pat for what he does and why he does it, I can't help but feel lucky to have chosen his practice for my treatment. The follow up and care have been wonderful.
I haven't had many side effects at this juncture other than "knowing that something is going on down there" and hope it stays that way. This after being told by my urologist and my MD to "don't go there". I guess time will tell. Good Luck to my fellow brothers(and sisters) out there.

Good report.

You'll get through just fine.

I didn't find any significant side effects until I got to the last week when fatigue hit. That doesn't get everyone.

Congrats but be on guard as my understanding is that fatigue sets in about the halfway mark.

Keep us posted.

I had no SE's until the final week of IMRT treatment, but they only lasted about a month, I believe anyway. Since I still have Lupron in my body, I really can't tell whether it's that or radiation after- effects that I experience, like frequent urination and semi-difficult BM's, and some Fatigue. But every day is better and I'm coming slowly back to the surface!

Brew, glad things are going so well. Dattoli is one of the best and you have every right to have high expectations.

Good luck and let us know how the rest of the treatments go.
