I was surprised that Warren Buffett, at age 84 with stage 1, would do anything. Looks like he went with external radiation.

And not listed, Frank Zappa discovered he had advanced PCa and died from it.

The Montgomery-Gentry singer was diagnosed and treated (surgery) at 47 years old.

Dennis Hopper, who died with advanced PCa, got down to 100 pounds as it had spread to his bones before being diagnosed.

Aside from famous people, there are doctors who die of PCa.

The guy was not only a well known heart surgeon, but also owned a popular health food company. He died at age 65 after battling PCa for 15 years. So he was diagnosed at age 50 - perhaps his first PSA screening.

Inspirational segment on ESPN this morning with Jim Kelly, hall of fame QB for the Bills and cancer survivor (2x jaw).

He said his best day was during his long hospital stay when he visited a 21-year-old man's room who only had a week to live.

He said while he had plenty of visitors and letters, there were people on his hall in the hospital who didn't see people very often and he'd try to visit with them. This young man wanted to pray for Jim's recovery, even though he only had a couple weeks himself. It seemed to be a life changing experience for Jim Kelly as he went on to talk about never giving up, no matter your diagnosis or time, and know that there are people with worse circumstances.
