I am second guessing because it is within the nature of uncertainty. We all want a guaranteed result...that we cannot have so we question as we should. I am hesitant not really changing my mind......surgery just not for me.
Though not the most experienced in HDR within the US I feel comfortable w my team. A URO that says yea HDR makes a lot of sense to me. He tells me I am a great candidate... Truth is... AS .. I just missed that cut off.
Interestingingly enough, because I will mostly deal w this alone--post procedure, this treatment the doc told.me is most likely the best choice re; self care. With successful outcome.... doubt is normal .. I feel good about
my decision ultimately.

I don't think any competent doctor would consider BenSam for focal.
Allen,
Can you elaborate on this at all? What characteristics do make someone a good candidate for focal ablation, or conversely a bad candidate?

Ben, what you say makes perfect sense. We all question ourselves to one extent or another, in the weeks leading up to treatment. I think you know in your heart that you've done your research and HDR is the best option for you.
you are right, doubt is natural, but try to let it go if you can.

BenSam,
As we've all said before, nothing is 100%. The fact is that you have made an excellent choice that gives you a very high likelihood of removing the disease AND preserving your quality of life. Now is the time to relax. It's like flying. Getting to the airport on time, parking, going through security, running to the gate...all of these things are your responsibility, and they can be very stressful. But once you are at the gate on time, you may as well relax: you've done your part. Now it's time to relax and turn it over to the professionals. You are at the boarding gate, Brother. Chill.
You'll be fine.
