Ironically today is my birthday so the news of the remission had some added sentiment attached to it. I don't mean to belabor this thread with my personal celebrations but there are things that need to be said.
PCa can be such a dark room and at stage 4 with so many bone mets I've been sitting in the darkest corner. Many of my brothers are more severely impacted and many other have a softer signature, but we fight this as a team and all good news is a score for the team. My oncologist offered some sound advice. "Never assume that metastatic cancer is not reversible. There is always something left to try."
Make certain that your doctor shares this philosophy and more importantly make certain that you believe it to be true. It happens far more frequently than we are led to believe. It happened to me and it can certainly happen to you.
