Had my 4th consecutive rise in PSA- 7.9 today

6.1 - NOV 2014

5.0- July 2014

4.0 - March 2014


CAT/PET/bone scan in November 2014 were clean, no sign of metastasized cancer anywhere.

URO has referred me to see an Oncologist and RO.

URO suggests Lupron/HT and perhaps more radiation or a combination thereof.

Thoughts?

First thought - that sucks. Not what you wanted.

Second thought - I'd be interested to know what your RO has to say on this. Seeing an RO and oncologist makes sense, get to them soon.

You're heading for some kind of secondary treatment. A bit of beam radiation might help and the HT could be needed. Some might suggest both at the same time (or near the same time).

Hang in there and let us what the docs say,

Had my initial diagnosis/ treatment in Northern VA. in 2013.

Have since moved, so, with a new URO the past several months and will be a new RO and ONC in the mix.

might not be a bad thing to get a fresh set of eyes on your case.
