PSA moving up while on HT

My PSA has started to rise, while on HT (Lupron + Zytiga )
now I am worried, after a failed surgery and having metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer
I was able to get my psa down to 0.4 while on HT two months later I was 0.6, two months later now I am 0.8 , so it looks like I am climbing 0.1 per month or doubling every six months and my cancer is becoming refractory, I am meeting my chemo oncologist next month and see what he says,
I think I may be heading for hard core chemo drugs sooner rather than later.....
and I am tired of hearing people tell me how lucky I am to have prostate cancer it is the most treatable and nobody dies from prostate cancer, REALLY! oh yea I feel so lucky.
I wanted to keep working for several more years, but I don't know how much more I can take..
where are the medical breakthroughs in this area, I need a miracle , please God help me, and help us all.

There's no reason to panic, such small changes might not be significant, or it might mean that it's time to change Lupron for an antagonist like Firmagon, or change Zytiga for Xtandi. Or maybe it's time for Provenge.

I envy you, that you got over 3 years out of Lupron.

Plenty of options still there for you, and lots of good treatments still in the pipeline awaiting clinical trials and FDA approval.

Jack, I totally get what you are saying.Unless you are talking to someone who has it, they just don't ubderstand the nature of your cancer. Your brothers here on HW do And we're here to listen and provide support.
