Weather Delay - LDR cancelled

Yesterday was a roller-coaster of emotions but long story short, a weather delay in Memphis, TN delayed my 78 I-125 seeds from being delivered to MD Anderson. After waiting for several hours and discussing options with my treatment team, we decided to dispose of the "delayed" seeds and re-schedule for a new date. The PCa MD Anderson Radiation Oncology team said this was the first time it had happened at MD Anderson. I do believe all things happen for a reason... I have updated my signature stats and I am planning to use this time wisely to review my treatment decision. As always, thank you guys for all your input and knowledge!

Thanks for the replies and I will definitely update everyone on my new date! Casper - it's always tough to decide on such an important decision when there are multiple choices ( for me it's DaVinci vs LDR Brachy) but at this point I am sticking with LDR Brachy. Your posts on your current journey have been so helpful to me! Maybe I'll chat with Yoop again or Tudpock, but for sure I have time for more research and questions; I can never have enough information...

I am glad that the posts in my thread have helped you. That was the purpose of starting it in the first place.

Like you I found Yoops a true friend during my treatment decision making process. It was only after talking to him that I decided on LDR. I had ruled out any type of surgery because of the greater risk of side effects. I am glad that I did as you can see.

If you are still having any doubts then have a chat with Yoops. He sure did help me a great deal.
