History book by former Senator Bob Graham. For lighter reading some art books. I love to read.

"David and Goliath" by Malcolm Gladwell - a great read and take on some history and psychology that can be done a chapter at a time...
"It's Not about the Bike" by Lance Armstrong - at the suggestion of Dewayne. An interesting read given the information that later came out about the lies.
The Vince Flynn novels about Mitch Rapp (fictional character). I've got 3 books read, 11 to go...
Along the same OT tangent. There are several "30 for 30" episodes on Netflix that are worthwhile.

Two things,
One, I tried to quote PDA's post above, and it seems to have disappeared. Don't know what happened.

Two, I know his quot was meant as a joke. But seriously, I have no time to read, because all I read is the stuff here.
Something about Tha is wrong.

and I just finished The Lost City of Z by Grann, which was a page turner, and Foundation: The History of England From its Earliest Beginnings to the Tudors by Ackroyd, which was not exactly a page turner but very good if you're interested the "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" part of English history.
On the subject of cancer, last year I read The Emperor of All Maladies and I see that Ken Burns made a film version that will be released at the end of next month.

I usually have two books going at a time, one as a "real" book and one on my Kindle. I was a history major in college and still read mostly history and biography. I'm right now kind of wallowing in the 19th century American politics and social history. I recently finished "The Empire of Cotton" by Sven Beckert, which just came out in December. I'm now reading "Slavery by Another Name" by Douglas Blackmon as an actual real paper book, and "Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Men" by Eric Foner on my Kindle -- a history of the pre-civil war politics and ideology that brought about the Republican Party. On a more personal level, I recently finished "Brown Water, Black Berets" by Thomas Cutler, which I'd recommend to anyone who was in 'Nam, the U.S. Navy, or both.
