Prednisone dosing with Zytiga

For those of you on Zytiga, do you take prednisone once or twice a day? The Zytiga website shows 5mg twice a day, but our doc prescribed 10mg once a day. Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but thought I would ask.

I take mine 2x per day. One with the Zytiga and the other around supper time. Like you, I am not sure of any difference that it might make.

I take mine twice per day. One with breakfast and the second one with supper. They told me to take prednisone with food.

Yes I agree with Faustmann, 5mg pill as prescribed, once at breakfast, once at supper, it should be very effective with the big Z-Zytiga for you, my PSA is undetectable for 5 months now!

Since Prednisone can affect immune system and I was on Prvenge Immunotherapy when I started Zytiga, instead of 5 Mg Prednisone *2, I take 50 Mg Inspra (Eplerenone) once a day with a meal.

I think the intent is to take the Zytiga on an empty stomach which I do when I get up at night to pee, and to take the 2 sets of 5 Mg Prednisone separately with meals, the first a couple of hours later and the second 12 hours later.
