Orchiectomy Vs Lupron injections....It's all about the money.....

In the States, Orchiectomy is seldom performed....The 6 month Lupron shots are around $3000 USD a pop...So over say 3 years that's $18,000.. Here, Medicare pays for this so patients feel it's free and don't care what it costs..This attitude is bankrupting our healthcare system.....

Keep after those bone mets! The key to long survival is finding the cancer and killing it..Spot radiation can be used to eliminate small bone mets..Some of the new drugs have demonstrated amazing results but even here they a stingy with them because of the ridiculous cost..Best of Luck to you......

I would consider doing an Orchie if I knew it would drive my PSA down like that!

Great news. Did you go directly to orchiectomy or did you try std HT prior to. Also and this might be covered elsewhere as well, are the side effects from "natural" deprivation the same as chemical??
