Diagnosed 12/07, w/ gleason 10, T2a. Got IMRT 75 Gray at Mass Genl, plus 3yrs of Lupron.
Post IMRT, PSA has run between 0.7 and 1.3 which was the reading 4 months ago. New reading is 3.7.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks.

Big leap in four months.
Get to your Oncologist/Urologist and have them check it again.
Then make them give you options.
It would help to see your stats. Please put them in your signature block

Welcome! Looks like you better do something sooner rather than later! You've have a G10 with a PSA doubling time of around 3 mos. I would strongly recommend a consult with a specialist.
Cheers, Doug

Bonita, welcome to the forum. If I understand your post, it has been 7 years since your dx with a Gleason 10 and you have only had Lupron and IMRT? Yes, please put more details in your signature and there will be some very knowledgeable people here to reply.

Welcome to HW, sorry you need to be talking to us.
Not good to see a rise like that. There are other meds you can try. I'll let the folks who know more about
the advanced disease make those suggestions.
Just wanted to say welcome. Others with better answers will be along soon.

Bonita --
You had your original treatment at Mass General. Are you still in the Massachusetts area? What kind of doctor has been handling your case since your initial treatment -- Radiation Oncologist? Medical Oncologist? If you are not already with a medical oncologist it may be time to look for one who specializes in prostate cancer. There is one I know of from a consult at the early stages of my diagnosis, who is now at Dana Farber. Though I'm not trying to steer you away from Mass General if you are already with an MO there with a prostate specialty--Mass General saved my daughter's life a couple of years ago.
