Has anyone experienced a rapid response to Xtandi? I was on Firmagon and Avodart. My med onc added Casodex and my psa gradually rose from 0.32 to 1.7. We then switched to Nilandron and my psa quickly rose to 3.5. Then switched to Xtandi and in 3 weeks my psa dropped to 0.35 and 3 weeks later it was <0.1. Does this rapid drop signify anything? The fatigue is minimal so I would like to continue. How long will this remission last and what should I do if and when it fails. I am 78 yo with Gleason 9. TX with robotic surgery, IMRT, and ADT. Now on Xtandi, Firmagon, Avodart, and Metformin. pmikey

That is wonderful! We had a "rapid response" in the opposite direction unfortunately, accompanied by severe fatigue. Eric on another forum has had a remarkable response to Xtandi - similar to yours.

That sounds like really good news! If you can hold that <.1, means you've forced your PC into a remission. No one can predict how long it will last, but fast response like that is sure a good thing.
