Works Out said...
Thanks for posting, Dewayne. Glad to see things are going so well. I've been kind of laying low leading up to my date and haven't been on the site much, but glad I checked in today to see this. First HDR for me this Thur.
Also don't think I will have any anxiety issues. My nature is not to sweat the big stuff - my problem is I still sweat the little stuff.
One question- How long after the procedure(s) were you back to working out?
Works Out,
I use a personal trainer two times a week, and he puts us through a weight lifting/CrossFit combo workout. Pretty tough. The primary reason I still use the trainer after eight years is he trains a lot of wealthy people in my town, and though it wasn't planned I've developed clients out of more than 15 of his clients (I'm a financial planner). Right now eight of them are involved in an investment club where I'm the broker so I've found it's worth the price I pay in more ways than one.
So, I came clean with him and a couple other of my close workout partners regarding the Cancer. I took off a couple of weeks after my second procedure but I would opt out of certain things even when I went. I was probably back to full workout after a month.
I did play basketball in my pick up league even faster. So, I could've worked out but probably not at the intense rate the trainer demands.
Regarding #4 in my report, it turns out I have a "fissure" from the biopsy that's caused my problems. I'm treating it with a new medicine and it is improving.
