What's a Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay PSA Test?

I got my PSA score (still a zero) with a note attached saying it was a Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay test. I never got any such attached messages before.

Is this something new or did they just now decide to tell me what they were doing (not that I'd know anyway)?

It's a PSA test.

Keep it simple. The only thing you need to know is to strive to get results from the same lab.

That will help you understand some numbers.

The Roche-Cobas 601 ECLIA is the "newer", more precise machine from about 2010. I was a participant in a study that compared the Roche with the older Siemens. The ECLIA method is more selective to PSA.

Come on....It's when they use a Retro Encabulator instead of the Flux Capacitor to measure your PSA.

Oh man! Now I don't know whether to go with Chris's research or Tim's, but I think I'm think I'm gonna go with the retro encabulator version. The man just exudes confidence.

I should have listened to my urologist when he told me not to get my information off the internet. yeah

Regrettably, your urologist is mistaken. The right Internet sources (this forum, for example) can provide a wealth of useful information about prostate cancer. Take what you read here about diet and PCa with a salt-shaker-full of skepticism.

For the record, nothing I work on has "retro" anywhere in its name. Nanomaterial, hyper-conductive, Giga (anything), acousto-optical couplings, gallium arsenide sustrates... You will hear that language.
