Mamma Pat and I are so excited that we can't wait to be there. Always so wonderful to see our PCA friends. Our friendships have become so much more than just casual friends.

Those of you that can not make it you will be missed.

I presume that at some point a schedule of planned activities will be sent around? I'm trying to mesh GFMPH activities with scheduling at least some personal time to visit with my daughter in Rochester...and she's working night shift which makes things challenging.

Other than the mandatory (to be a tax exempt organization) business meeting usually held on Saturday morning, people tend to mingle as they wish either on the property or sightseeing.

Another not miss is 142's scotch tasting seminar usually on Saturday evening after supper.

So the only pre-planned events are 3 squares a day. Some people eat at the buffet breakfast as the comfy hotel of choice and then join for lunch and supper.

We are less than two weeks away and I was cleaning up in preparation for the event.
I live in NY where we separate our trash into returnables bottles and cans, recycleables, and put everything else in a rolling toter. If you recall from last year I had to label the cans very clearly for the out of state folks - some of which call everything "landfill".

Well, I filled a large can with junk and hauled it out to the curb. Unfortunately the can still had the "Trash" label on it from last year. You guessed it. The guys threw the can away! Now I need to go to Lowe's and buy a new one. Arrrgh!!!

Jeff, just be happy NY did not give you a fine for not recycling the sign with "trash" written on recyclable paper.

Looking forward to enjoying your hospitality in a mere 11 days on the Wednesday before GFMPH starts.

It is getting really close. We are checking the weather to try to determine what to pack. Will probably have Pat pack early this week then on the weekend advise take 1/2 of it out.

We are so excited about being there with everyone.

Before we get the official 10 day forecast as we get closer, it looks like typically the area has highs in low 70's and low's in mid 50's the last week of September.

For us, not really an issue what to pack since we discarded most of our winter clothes when we moved to Florida in 2000 . So more logs on the fire if it gets too cold at night, or sample more at 142's scotch tasting seminar Saturday night.

The Worrywarts have arrived! Early birds! We are laughing already!

Here is the rough schedule of planned activities.

Thursday: Morning is the behind the scenes tour of the airport. Thursday dinner is Grill night. "Jeff the Chef" is coming with the smoker. Steak, chicken, pulled pork...
Friday dinner is Seafood: Mahi Mahi, Clams, shrimp...
Saturday dinner is a Taco Bar with a buffet of delights so you can customize your meal to fit any diet. Dessert is an experience that will bring back childhood memories and leave you smiling. Guaranteed!
Don't worry. There will be salads and vegetables with everything.
We're from NY so it's required. ;-)
For Saturday night our own 142 has a wonderful Scotch tasting planned. (I've seen some of the bottles. Wow!) He has a cigar tasting planned as well.
Breakfasts every morning - prepared by Sonny, 142, Keith, and anyone else who happens to be up and willing.
Lunches - cold cuts, veggies, fruits, etc.

Come on over if you've got the time. We'll make room for you! :-)

WE ARE ON THE WAY TO NY.

Sherry and I are leaving in the RV Beast in the morning. We are due to arrive Tuesday about noon-ish. That is of course unless when I start driving and just can't wait to get there, then I may make the 1250 mile trip in a straight through drive. I have been known to do things like that once in a while.

Now that the Worryworts have arrived, I have lost my place in history and my record as always being the first one there. But on the other end, I always the last to leave. This year will be no exception to that.

Following GFMPH we are making a side trip to Niagra Canada to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and then on to the wine country for a couple of days. We will be back at WorriedGuys house for the Annual Apple Festival Weekend. Try not to suck all the fun out of everything before we get there.

We can't wait to see you guys, it won't be long,

Spending this weekend nursing a really bad cold, so glad it came this weekend, not next. I'll be consuming tons of chicken soup the next couple f days to make sure I'm ready for GFmPH

That's it for me, for now, signing off, cranking up the coach and heading out. A little late getting started but I will make it to my first stop tonight. Stopping at Statesville, NC, just a mere 568 miles away.

"Every Day is A Bonus" and my only job is to choke the life out of them. Starting today I will be on Bonus Days for the next month.

You all have fun. I will truly miss being there. Mr.and Mrs. Worried Guy are such terrific hosts! I will miss the people, the food, the drink, the cigars, the Apple gun, the clams, and the squirrels! Worried Guy does not miss too many squirrels. See you guys in Florida!

Us too. Karen and I drove Rock Hill SC today en route to ROC via Cranberry PA arriving mid afternoon Wednesday.

Boarding passes printed, last minute laundry in the machine. Leaving home @ 7 am CDT to head to Indianapolis airport. Spending Thursday evening with our daughter in ROC. Planning on being in the breakfast room at the comfortable motel 730 ish Friday morning. Anybody want to share a ride?
