Hello all-- to save you time, I'll get straight to the point.
I'm a 23 year-old male, not diagnosed with PC, but with some troubling symtoms that I've had for more than 2 years. I'll jump right in:
Symptoms: I've had urinary retention, frequency (especially at night), a weak or obstructed stream, dribbling, lack of morning erections, palpable prostate enlargement (and a diagnosis of prostate enlargement by DRE), intermittent periods of decreased penile sensitivity and difficulty with erection (but these problems have resolved for the most part), lower back pain, hip pain (from possible sciatica due to an active lifestyle of lifting weights frequently-- at least, this is how i've explained it), an MRI for my back that revealed no herniations, but did reveal some "weird spots" on my hips. Orthopedic guy I saw said that I should probably look further into that.
Treatments/screenings: I've been given multiple antibiotics including Cipro, Bactrim (which seems to be the only thing that's ever helped), and a few others than I can't remember well. I've been tested for STIs multiple times, and tests have revealed no C&G, or other infections. It might be helpful to note that I've been in a monogamous relationship for 4 years, and didn't notice these problems before we began dating. I received the results to my first and only PSA test yesterday - (0.4).
Questions: For very young men who have been diagnosed with PCa-- I would be curious to know what kinds of PSA numbers you had when you were diagnosed. Furthermore, if any of my symptoms seem especially similar to yours, or if you feel that you could recommend a particular course of action through screening, please feel free to gift me your input. I am open to any and all information, tips, advice, etc.
I realize that the chances I have PC are likely very small, but I am having some very worrying symptoms that I can't seem to find answers for with any other Dx.
Thanks for your time.
